Dear Students,

We are excited to share a scholarship opportunity for those interested in attending Alabama A&M University!

To be considered, students must:

1. Complete a scholarship application

2. Write a short essay -Your essay should be 300-500 words. You should address in your essay: your college goals and choice of major, what you intend to do with your education, and why a scholarship is important to you. Include any academic and non-academic accomplishments, personal characteristics, or experiences that make you uniquely worthy of scholarship consideration.

3. For Undergraduate Students, select and include one of the following:

   • Why do you think Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) are still relevant in today’s society?

   • Why did you choose to attend AAMU?

   • Who are two HBCU graduates that you feel have made a significant contribution to American society? Explain why.

4. For Graduate Students, select and include one of the following:

   • What are some strategies for keeping alumni active in the life of the University?

   • What are some strategies for increasing the Alumni Association influence?

This is a great chance to receive financial support while attending one of the top HBCUs in the nation!
